When Harry met Andy - Quand Harry rencontre Andy

En ces fins de mois de juin, comme chaque annee, c'est la periode de partager grace a l'entreprise qui nous a amene a Singapour, la journee des familles.

Cette annee, grande classe, le musee des arts et des sciences a ete reserve rien que pour nous dans cette fameuse Marina Bay.

Nous avions deja vu une exposition sur le Titanic dans ce musee qui nous avait ravi, cette fois-ci au programme, nous avons eu droit a Andy Warhol et Harry Potter.

2 mondes pourtant tres differents mais qui nous ont transportes dans la magie de l'imaginaire humain.

Nous sommes surs que ces 2 visites vont donner quelques idees a nos 2 garcons.

Ca sentait bon les vacances, cela tombe bien pour nous, c'est pour bientot, alors Bonnes Vacances a TOUS!



Every year around end of june period, we are celebrating the family day, thanks to the company which brought us here.
This year, very cool, the art and science museum have been entirely booked only for us!
We have seen there in the past a very good exhibition on Titanic, this time it was about Andy Warhol and Harry Potter.
2 worlds particularly different which carried us to the magic of human fantasy.
We are nearly sure that these 2 visits will give lots of ideas to our 2 boys.

On the Top of Singapore, Sur le toit de Singapour

Since we have arrived in Singapore, we have been around Marina Bay many times: admiring the bay itself, the buildings around, modernism meeting heritage, never being tired of it! We always thought about moving up to the top of the Bay, but always push back the moment...

On this saturday, the weather was too beautiful and the flavour of holidays was so strong, that we have decided to make this wish a reality!

We went around the beautiful mall of the Marina Bay Sands a casino/shopping center/hotel built up 3 years ago to attract tourists, gamblers, shoppers passing by Singapore. A 3 pilars building with on its top a kind of boat sitting on them. The top floor is welcoming a overflowing swimming pool accessible only by the hotel's guests.

Nevertheless, there is an observatory on the the same floor for visitors, and it is where we have spent a couple of hours.., waiting for the sunset...

Wonderful, the view, the peace, the atmosphere were extraordinary. We were surrounded by the full bay. We could overlook the brand new Garden by the Bay, the financial district , the national theatre, the art and science museum, in a lotus's flower shape, the sea off shore.

Lucky we were as well as the repetition of the national day parade have started (the national day is on the 9th of August in Singapore) and we were able to attend to military planes demonstration ans firework.

To be on the roof of Singapore made our day!

Depuis notre arrivee a Singapour, nous nous sommes balades regulierement dans la baie de Singapour (appele Marina Bay): contempler la baie, les buildings l'entourant, le moderne se melangeant a l'ancien, en ne se lassant jamais. Nous avons toujours voulu surplombe la baie sans jamais avoir ose franchir le pas.

Ce samedi-la, le temps etait tellement magnifique, et l'odeur des vacances si presente, que nous nous sommes decides a transformer notre reve en realite! 

Nous avons deambule dans les allees de la gallerie marchande de l'hotel/casino construit il y a 3 ans. Construit pour prolonger le sejour des touristes de passage a Singapour, le Marina Bay Sands attire aussi les flambeurs et ceux qui ont un porte-monnaie bien garni qui les demangent. 3 piliers supporte une plateforme en forme de bateau qui accueille une somptueuse piscine a debordement dont l'acces est exclusivement reserve aux clients de l'hotel (dommage!).

Cependant, au meme niveau, un observatoire pour les visiteurs d'un jour que nous etions nous a fait profite d'une vue imprenable, de la fin de journee jusqu'au coucher du soleil...

Merveilleuse vue, la tranquilite et l'atmosphere du lieu etaient extraordinaires.

Nous surplombions les tout nouveaux jardins de la baie (prochaine destination), le quartier des affaires, le theatre national, le musee des arts et des sciences, et la mer au large.

C'etait egalement notre jour de chance. La fete nationale a lieu le 9 Aout, mais de nombreuses repetitions ont lieu le week-end. En ce samedi, nous avons pu assister du haut du Marina Bay Sands a la demonstration des avions militaires et au feu d'artifice.

Quoi de plus pour etre aux anges sur le toit de Singapour?
