Ah vacances d'Hiver au soleil! Quelle source d'energie!

En cette fin d'Octobre, a l'occasion des vacances scolaires, nous avons fait une escapade un peu plus lointaine que d'habitude pour des vacances si courtes. A 3 heures de voiture et 2 heures de bateau, nous sommes retournes sur l'ile qui avaient acheve notre periple de nos grandes vacances en Malaisie de l'annee derniere.

Nous avons bien fait. En ce debut de saison des pluies, quelques rayons de soleil, quelques plongeons au milieu des poissons, quelques heures de marche dans la jungle ont fait du bien pour recharger les batteries.
Le site est vraiment ideal pour admirer les couchers de soleil sur la mer, flaner dans les cascades, bref prendre du bon temps comme on en a besoin de temps en temps.

Waow, sunny holidays during the winter, what a source of energy!

As it was school holidays at the end of October, we have decided to escape a little bit further away than usual for such short holidays.

3 hours driving and 2 hours cruising from Singapore, and that's it, we were back to the island which ended our last year summer holidays: Tioman.

That was a good choice.

As it is the start of the rainy season at this period of the year, few sun beams, few dives in the middle of colourful fishes, few hours of trekking in the jungle were ideal to recharge our batteries.

The location is really wonderful: sunsets on the sea, strolling in the waterfalls, the place is great for simple good times.

Halloween in the air! - Halloween dans les airs!

As everywhere we are at this period of the year, we cannot miss Halloween, thinking of our friends we used to party with at this occasion :-).

Our 1st year in Singapore was to spend the evening in an amusement park from another century, was good fun.

This year we have decided to go up in the air, before going through a real scary forest.

So to start the evening, we flew first at the top of the biggest wheel in the world, admiring the Marina Bay from the top of the sky. We flew on the Singapore Flyer!

Very nice view, especially at night, the speed was slow enough, to enjoy the view and not to be too scared before the Undead Forest.

And after, came the monsters, or the most horrible human creatures you could find on earth. The movie characters in the forest were very realistic, very, very scary. From the Chainsaw Massacre to the Exorcist, going through Dark water, the actors looks, sounds, acts real and we were quite happy when out of the Undead Forest...Another Special Night in Singapore!

Comme a l'accoutumee en cette periode de l'annee, quel que soit l'endroit ou nous nous trouvons, nous fetons Halloween, pensant aux amis avec qui ont partage ce moment dans le passe:-).

Notre premiere annee a Singapour Halloween avait ete fun dans un parc du siecle dernier.

Cette annee, nous avons decide de faire un tour dans les airs avant de traverser la foret des morts-vivants...

C'est ainsi qu' en un tour de roue, la Singapore Flyer, la plus haute roue au monde, nous avons pu admirer le ciel de Singapour et la baie que nous apprecions tant.

Une vue superbe, beaute renforcee par la nuit, la roue nous emenant au ralenti jusqu'a 165m de haut...

Apres ce vol, sont arrives les monstres ou les etres humains les plus horribles que vous pouvez trouver sur terre. Les personnages de films representes etaient plus vrais que nature et nous devons l'avouer faisaient tres peur...De Massacre a la tronconneuse jusqu'a l'Exorciste en passant par Dark Water, tout etait reuni pour un cocktail d'apparences, de sons, d'odeurs les plus horribles les uns que les autres.

Bienheureux, nous avons ete de sortir vivants de la foret des morts-vivants...

Encore une soiree speciale a Singapour!

Les bolides dans la Ville - Watch Out F1 in town!

Nous attendions cela depuis 1 an. Depuis le jour ou nous faisions le tour du circuit en mourant d'envie de faire partie de la fete. Un soir de Fevrier, quand les prix des tickets etaient encore abordables car bien avant le jour J, j'ai craque et achete des billets pour le premier grand prix de formule 1 de notre vie. J'ai tres bien fait. Cette course est formidable. La nuit et la ville Singapour offrent un theatre exceptionnel a un evenement hors du commun.

Tous les grands etaient la: Vettel, Alonso, Button, Schumi a une vitesse folle et a quelques metres de nous.

Les bolides sont impressionnants, l'ambiance hors du commun et en plus des tas d'activites avaient lieu autour du Grand Prix.

Nous avons pu danser et chanter aux concerts de Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Banarama, Jay Chou, admirer des artistes de rue, bref une ambiance de fete!

3 jours de plaisir complet!

We were waiting for that for 1 year! Since the day, we were strolling around the circuit without enjoying the real thing. One day in February, earlier this year, when the price of the tickets were still reasonnable,  I have crackep up and bought for the family 3 days for the Singapore Night Grand Prix, the 1st Grand Prix in our life! I have made the right decision. This race is wonderful.

The night scene and the city of Singapore are a theater of a truely extra ordinary event.

All the big names were there: Vettel, Alonso, Button, Schumi even Jackie Stewart, met few years ago in Angouleme were just few meters away from us on their wonderful machines.

The race was amazing, the atmosphere just great and lots of things to do around.

We have danced and sung during Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Bananarama, Jay Chou concerts, enjoyed street artists all over the place.

There were 3 days of pure pleasure!
