Paddy's Day in Singapore: Rainy but Great! - St Patrick a Singapour: Pluvieux, mais super ambiance!

On the 17th of March, like everywhere in the world, Irish are enjoying their national day. It is amazing to see how much the Irish origin people have honoring that day and how much the other communities have a regret on that day not to be Irish!
We are lucky, half of the family is Irish.
So we had the chance to participate everywhere we were and for the more French ones of the family to feel more Irish at least on that day!
The Singapore St Patrick is great! Full of Irish with their great crack and not taking anything too seriously, just enjoying the day.
To see Singaporian in Green, White and Orange and enjoying the crack was simply amazing.
On that day, there is the official parade with VIPs (ambassador, even an Irish Minister who came all along to be there, local public personnalities), with Irish Associations in Singapore (Dance, Rugby, Music, Arts, Food, everything was there).
This parade supported this year the local association for the Down Syndrom, and it reminds us the great engagement of Irish in supporting others.
So, we followed the parade, enjoying dancing with the music, chatting with the local St Patrick, and all.
We finally ended in the traditional Pub: Molly Malone (who is a great figure of Irish tradition), and enjoyed our pints (soda for the boys, of course), listening to live bands and admiring the 70 tap dancers of the evening. It was a great moment of the Irish revival of the Family! Slainte!

Le 17 Mars, comme dans tous les pays du monde, les Irlandais profitent de leur fete nationale. C'est incroyable de voir a quel point les Irlandais d'origine sont attaches a cette journee, et pour les autres de regretter de ne pas etre Irlandais!
Nous avons de la chance, la moitie de notre famille est Irlandaise.
Donc nous profitons de la St Patrick partout ou nous sommes, et pour les plus Francais de la famille d'etre encore un peu plus Irlandais ce jour-la.

La Saint Patrick a Singapore est super! Plein d'Irlandais avec leur "great crack", ne se prenant pas trop au serieux, profitant de la  journee.
Voir les Singapouriens en Vert, Blanc et Orange, s'amuser au son de la musique Irlandaise etait simplement un pur plaisir.
En cette St Patrick, une parade officielle parcourt les bords de la Singapore River. Les personnalites sont presentes: locales mais aussi l'ambassadeur Irlandais, meme un ministre du gouvernement actuel a fait le deplacement. Les Associations Irlandaises (Danseurs, Rugbymen, Musiciens, Artistes, Cuisiniers, etc..) defilent.
Cette annee, la parade soutenait une association locale pour le syndrome de Down, une occasion de se rappeler le grand coeur de l'Irish Spirit.
Nous avons suivi la parade, dance en musique, echange quelques mots avec le St Patrick local et d'autres participants.
Nous avons finalement atterri dans un pub Irlandais traditionnel: Molly Malone (personnage de chanson traditionnelle). Quelques pintes ont arrose notre soiree (du jus de fruit pour les enfants evidemment!), les musiciens du soir ont regale nos oreilles et les 70 danseuses Irlandaises nos yeux.
Ce fut un grand moment de la renaissance Irlandaise de la famille! Slainte!
